About the Gwich'in Gathering

Every two years, the Gwich'in Steering Committee, organizes a meeting of Gwich'in from Alaska, Yukon, and Northwest Territories to discuss the pressing issues facing the nation.

Tsiigehtchic 2018

Gwich'in Council International participated in the 2018 Gwich'in Gathering in Tsiigehtchic, NWT. GCI gave a presentation to update delegates on our activities, as well as to seek their input.

At the Gathering, GCI distributed a Questionnaire to participants as part of a project to determine research priorities for Gwich'in. If you are interested in filling out the questionnaire, it is available here:  GCI_Gwichin Research Priorities Questionnaire.pdf. Please submit to gciadmin@gwichin.nt.ca by October 1, 2018.

GCI also encouraged youth who are interested in getting involved in the Arctic Council to send the following information to gciadmin@gwichin.nt.ca to assist GCI in matching available opportunities to interested youth.
